These Terms and Conditions apply to participation in online birth preparation and breastfeeding courses offered by freelance midwife Daria Wool, registered in Hamburg, Germany.
Course registration takes place via the online platform Hebamio. A place is only confirmed once the applicable course fee (partner fee for birth preparation classes, or participant fee for breastfeeding classes) is received in full via bank transfer. Payment instructions will be provided upon registration.
Birth preparation courses: Offered as live online sessions, limited to a maximum of 10 couples per course. Booking must include both the pregnant participant and a partner.
Breastfeeding courses: May be booked individually.
The pregnant person’s attendance in birth preparation classes is covered by the statutory health insurance (GKV). The partner fee is not covered but may be eligible for reimbursement; participants are responsible for checking with their insurance provider.
Breastfeeding courses are not covered by the GKV and must be self-paid. Private health insurers (PKV) may reimburse costs; participants must inquire directly.
Participants receive an invoice and certificate of participation after course completion for reimbursement purposes.
No guarantee is given for reimbursement by any health insurance provider.
Cancellation is possible up to 10 working days before the course start date. In this case, fees paid will be refunded.
No cancellations or refunds are possible after this deadline, including in the case of no-show or partial attendance.
According to § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB, the right of withdrawal for remote contracts does not apply to services related to health care performed at a specific time, including midwifery services. Upon registration, participants acknowledge and agree to this exception.
Participants agree to attend sessions in a timely and respectful manner. Recordings of the sessions are not permitted. Technical requirements (e.g., stable internet connection) are the responsibility of the participant.
Data will be handled in compliance with the GDPR. Only essential data (such as estimated due date for birth preparation classes) will be collected. Data is processed using secure third-party platforms (Hebamio and Webprax). A detailed privacy policy is available upon request.
Participation in the courses is at the participant’s own risk. The course content is intended for informational purposes and does not replace individual medical consultation. No liability is accepted for technical issues or misinterpretation of content.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, Germany.
Consumers are entitled to a right of withdrawal under the following conditions: A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that cannot be predominantly attributed to either their commercial or independent professional activity. The midwife/midwifery practice points out the following to the participant: You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving reasons. The cancellation period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded. In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform the midwife of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or by email). In order to meet the cancellation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of your exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period expires.
Consequences of revocation
The midwife/midwifery practice must repay all payments received from the participant immediately, but at the latest within 14 days from the day on which notification of the revocation was received. If the participant has requested that the service begin during the cancellation period, she must pay the midwifery practice an appropriate amount that corresponds to the proportion of the service used up to that point.
